Yes lots of material in fat quarters half yards and cut squares of different sizes. I just finished washing and ironing all the material. And the best part the Principal said I could do whatever I wanted with anything I found since home ec has not been taught for more than 15 years. Also found lots of accessories for sewing machine, special sewing rulers, thimbles, gobs of zippers mostly never opened packages. And many other items.

nice find. now you must find some projects to use it up. What a shame that Home Economics is no longer taught. Textiles and clothing was my major in Home Ec.

Lucky you! I too am sorry they don't have the program there any more. Before I retired I was a Home Economics teacher. We are fortunate to still have the program in our county of Md. However, it has disappeared in many places.

Yes it is a shame. But the teachers don't have mush say in what the administrators of the district want taught. I had home ec in high school also. I plan on donating what I make.

Cindy, that is so wonderful - I am happy for you - sad for the girls in your school - that they don't get to learn sewing - I can't wait to see what you make. I would love to see some of those sewing rulers and other supplies, too.

Oh my! It's like the recurring dream I have. I'm in my grandmother's house and go in the attic and it's a wearhouse of fabric like Joanne's, bolts and bolts, and it's all mine because my grandma passed away.

What a lucky find! Fabric easy to get but some accessories are priceless!
Give me nightmares that one day I'm gone and my children will have no use for all these "crafty" things of mine.

Said I would start marking all the stuff =ha - got to the box of DMC embroidery thread and that's where it stopped!!
