You probably received them because you belong to a yahoo embroidery group.

I would be careful because it sounds like one of those Mohamed sites that contains virus. Most of the sites that are infected are from yahoo.I could be wrong.

When you join a group on Yahoo you can choose if you want emails sent to your email address or if you want to get notifications from the site, if you do not click on the boxes you wish you will get a ton of emails from other people in the group. And believe me you will get a ton of stuff you do not want. Go to the groups and check out your profile and what boxes you checked. I hop I made this clear. Maybe it will help you. Sara

While on the site you can decide to opt out. Or if you get a message from the group itself not another member it will tell you somewhere probably toward the bottom how to be removed from the group.

Some people seem to do OK with the yahoo groups but for me, they just start sending you emails that are basic spam. I opt out of the groups.

OK, let's just get one thing straight, here. It is not Yahoo that is the problem. It is the groups that are not moderated. Just like Cute, if it is left unmoderated, things will slip in that shouldn't.
Yahoo groups are great for those needing help or information about what ever topic a particular group represents. It is also great for reciprocal advertising and notification of new and free designs.
I, for one, will never take my group of moderation.
Saidammin is also a member at SICK.And that group is supposedly moderated. The moderator needs to be aware of sites that are not legit. Which means reading information given out. But a lot of people don't like to read.
You did not say whether you received this e-mail as part of a groups notification or privately.He/she does belong to a few Yahoo groups, so his/her post would have been a part of that group's message.
