Very nice - why do they call it a disappearing 9 patch?

It is first sewn together with 9 squares(3 in a row) and then cut in half vert. and horiz. The pieces are then arranged in any variety of patterns and sewn together.

Very nice. Great color selection. I have one in the making using a different arrangement. It will have a seminole border. I hope to get it completed someday!
