Oh, glad you "get me", my own brother won't speak to me from over a month ago, he has blocked my email address so he can avoid my explanation of what I said, lol! He needs to put on his big boy pants! He's 50 years old for crying out loud!

My hubby is unfortunately a person who's going to the basement for laughing (don't know the english synonym for this; that is like those people are grumpy the whole year and at carnival they drink too much and start to dance on the table :o(

Oh, your hubby doesn't know how to lighten up. I have friends that for the holidays between Halloween and St. Patty's day go out once a month for their cousin's band at an Army/Navy bar and my hubby sits in a corner looking bored and then I hear all the way home how bored he was but I told him 2 years ago to quit coming with me and he won't stay home. He knows this is the only time I get to see these friends cause we live hours away from each other and meet part way for the drinks and dancing.
I think my brother has some emotional and maybe even medical problems going on, he told my parents the last 2 summers that he wasn't really in the mood for company when they mentioned their once a year trip to visit him 5 states away. If Dad emails him a long email he gets one word responses. We don't know what is up with him.

No, my hubby stays at home cause when I go out (like today at hometown Heidelberg :o) cause we have little children (Anna 8 and Felix 3) and no granny or somebody for babysitting. So I can have fun without that grim-face next to me...
Sorry that your brother has such a strange behavior. Is he ill (depression?) or does he join a sect? The brother of a freind of mine came in contact with one and get very weird. He is married now with a memeber and they have 3 children; my freind and also her parents have never seen this kids :o(

Brother may be in pain or addicted to pain pills but we don't know, he will not tell the family anything. He was riding his motorcycle and a car hit him, the ladies fault. He will not let us see him since and doesn't tell us anything in emails or on the phone. Our parents don't understand either.

That's a bad thing with your brother. Is there nobody living near him who can visit him surprisingly? Maybe he has still some injuries from the accident?
