Don't you just love it when you haven't visited for a few hours, and there are more designs posted? Sometimes I think it is Cuties that gets me up in the morning!

Yes!!!!!
I have a morning routine now and I've decided it's just what I need. I'll be 75 next birthday - I've done my apprenticeship and could stay in bed just as long as I like. I don't need any more freebies. In fact I don't need any more designs at all but each morning I'm up early, breakfasted on wholesome food and I fill my mind with things that are beautiful, refreshing, interesting, challenging and, more and more, increasingly familiar.
I collect my daily freebies, spend wonderful moments planning their uses, even knowing that I'll never be able to fulfil even a small fraction of my projected embroidery ideas. I follow the ups and downs of the members here, feeling joy or sadness, sharing their achievements and their worries. I understand why people regard it as a family site.
This embroidery addiction has been a Godsend to me in my retirement. I'm never at a loss for something to do. I do love to follow the progress of the designers in DBC. I love to collect their shared designs. I know the work, commitment and time that has been put into each design and appreciate the generosity shown when these designs are offered, free, for our collections.
I hope the DBC designers get as much of a kick out of offering their new designs as I get out of finding and squirrelling them away in my bulging collection folders.
I feel really blessed that I'm able to indulge my embroidery interests as much as I like. I found this site last year and it still gives me great pleasure to visit it every morning.
