Hon, you and hubby hang in there. There are a lot of lawyers who would jump on this one and take their fee from the settlement. It can still take some time even with a lawyer but you might get a little more cooperation if you have one. Wasn't he covered by workers comp? I thought that was in every state but maybe not. Worse case, the truck insurer should be covering those medical bills.
Get a lawyer with a good reputation that specializes in injury cases. They'll know what to do and it will take a load off your mind. Prayers are heaven bound for you and your family. Please keep us posted.

So sorry to read that your husband was hit by a truck. How dreadful too that the company is trying to get out of it.

Try and see if you can get a good lawyer who works with Workers Compensation cases. You sure have enough evidence from the hospital records.

Yes, get a lawyer! Even if you have to get one from the nearest large city, they will do everything with no up front money, just take 1/4 to 1/3 of any settlement they get you. Good luck dear!

Yes, get a lawyer, preferable one from out of town. My SIL got hurt-spinal injury-on the job over 2 years ago. Between the WC doctors and the insurance company, they kept shuffling him around til the money ran out when they could have fixed him. He has now found some doctors on his own who are so very different and really care. Hopefully after the new surgeries he will be in less pain, but his left leg and foot will never recover from the nerve damage and get feeling again! He has a lawyer already, and I sure hope he's a shark. The hippocratic oath seems to have gone bye bye when money is involved. Meanwhile, my daughter was working a part time job so as not to loose what insurance plan they had that was paying, so guess who has been supporting them and my GS for that time? Me, and I have NO health insurance, but do have a job, thank goodness. He finally got SS to give him disability so they have some money coming in, and she has gotten a full time job and some is coming to me for some bills. Don't know what they would have done without me and my house. But, on the other hand, my GS is a joy.
Document everything, and-if you haven't already-keep a journal of it all, day by day. Get every piece of paper from the doctors that you can, sometimes things get deleted or changed, know what I mean?

Ronny what a shock to know that there are dishonest companies that don't support their employees!!! Well maybe not....In sincerity I'm sorry to hear about this situation. And you have been given good advise. I had something similar that happened to me, I wasn't hit by a truck, but injuried on the job and the police dept I worked for refused to pay WC, so I did get an attorney. One of the sharpest and also one that didn't particularly care for the "Chief" of the department. Needless to say I couldn't work with the department after that, but they paid everything, including my knee surgery, rehab, WC, back pay, and plus a small sum of money for hardship... They should have come forward and been honest to begin with... So YES, get you an honest hard nose attorney that specializes in WC's. Be sure you get everything that is coming to you... Even the 10 commandments say to not lie about anything/anyone...Where is this companies dignity, especially when there is physical evidence showing that someone was wronged. Will keep you in prayer during this time. My list just keeps getting longer, but God knows ALL...

Hon, go out and get a good injury lawyer not only should your husband be drawing wc but the fellow that hit him insurance should be kissing your feet by now. Did the police come and write up an accident report? Did the driver of the truck have insurance? Contact the workman's comp in your city I think you're getting the run around. If you still don't get some help contact the Attorney General in your state as well as the Insurance Commission and if all else fails go to your local tv station as some of them do work to help individuals done wrong.
