only one site I have used refuses to work with me on replacing my designs. Smart Needle sent one design out of many, many, I have bought there! And no way to re-download! Their prices are about the highest I have paid and their customer service really stinks! I will never buy from them again!

Sorry to hear of your troubles honeychyle, I guess we just have to learn by experience & sometimes it hurts. You would think faithful customers would be treated nicely. *

Many sites tell you that they will not replace lost files and you should take that into consideration when buying from them. But don't blame them if they refuse. This is why you should save your files on a flash drive. If you don't know how (like me) get a grandkid (or someone else's grandkid) to do it for you.

Please don't rely on your files being save on a flash drive. The one that I used for my sewing machine died after using it for a year. Back up your files in more than one place.

I totally agree with you. I love sites that keep your history and allow you to download them again. Downloading makes it really easy for these sites because they don't have to mail out disks or anything. The least they can do is let you download them again if you have to. Maybe they aren't obligated, but to me, it is good customer service to do so. Plus, I appreciate people like you letting others know. I wouldn't buy from them either if they are like that. You are 'not' bad-mouthing them, you are informing others about their policies. I for one, appreciate it. I have bought hundreds of dollars worth from Embroidery Library and if I go to my account...my files are there that I bought YEARS ago. THAT is why I am a very loyal customer to them. That is good service and brings people back over and over again.

I do believe we are all human and make mistakes. I love the sites that keep a history and enable one to download again. I lost a freebie from John Deere and on request they sent it to me. Good Customer realtions are very important to a business and this one should take heed if there are disgruntled customers.
Good luck getting your designs. Helen

Thanks for the info., I buy most of my designs from Embroidery Library and I can always go back to my history and redownload......I don't alway have time (I have dial-up internet) to get the color chart but I know I can go back and see it.....I wish more sites were like EL.....Janet

Thank you for the information. I like to buy from sites that keep history of your purchases, Embroidery Library,Stitch Delight, Secret of Emb. the first two you create your own account and can go and DL whenever you want, Secret of Emb. They send you a link to reDL .Hope you could solve your problem.

Some sites require proof of purchase and that may be in your case too. I know it's a hassle to save every piece of paper as well emails but you've got to do it as not all sites keep a history of your accounts. Only problem with emb sites keeping track of what we buy will be if they have a crash and then that info will be lost too. Nothing like going around in circles. Sorry Smart Needle won't replace your designs, but have a blessed day never the less.
