Today I stitched out a dense design on a patchwork quality cotton (these are rather leightweight) and used freezer paper instead of my usual tear away stabilizer. Worked great!

You never know what will work. For cut away go to a dollar store and buy a pack of coffee filters.

is freezer paper the same as the paper you can use in ovens to bake something on it?

That's parchment paper, freezer paper has a shiny side to it and thicker then parchment. Carol
