Hi All,

As some may or may not be aware, Marina of Gorgeous Stitches suffered a stroke a few short days ago. Marina is a single mum and now lay in a coma as I type this to you.

Her sister Jay is traveling back and forth to the hospital (2 hr drive) while trying to remain in contact with me regarding this matter.

Marina counts on her website for income. She is going to have a lot of bills and is naturally missing important work. You won't find updates about this on Marina's site because her sister doesn't know how to update it...but you can still support Marina by visiting:
http://gorgeousstitches.biz/store/
and purchasing designs, all lovely, all reasonably priced, but you can help in other ways too, read on...

You can also donate by visiting:
http://www.digifavs.com
Near the top of the page, you will see a "Donate" any amount button, this goes STRAIGHT to Marina's PayPal account, it does NOT come to us. Please donate, but also...

We will soon be posting a link where you can either donate or purchase your choice of designs (again, all proceeds will go to Marina's PayPal account). I will post that link when appropriate (it's currently under construction).

Digitizers...if you would like to help with this, please send your designs (they don't have to be new) to me, just remember to take out the spaces at: webmaster @ digifavs.com with the subject line Design Donation for Marina.

I have SO much going on anyway, I need to be able to sort as fast as possible.

In your attachment, please be sure to include any support files you wish included, just entire zips will be best I think so we can get them up on the fund raising page asap. Also your link because I'm pretty sure the other person helping is going to link all those donating as a special thank you.

Thanks for any help offered. Please be sure to pass this along to others.

Thoughtfully,
Charlotte

Please do whatever you can to help this wonderful lady including keeping her in your prayers.
Hugs and blessings, Meganne

We all look after each other in the Embroidery Community Deb, it is after all a very small world and we need to be here for each other.
Maybe our love and kindness to each other will rub off on others and who knows, in time we may bring about world peace by showing how we care for each other.
Hugs n love, Meganne

Thanks Meg, just a note - there is a donate box on the Gorgeous Stitches website, as well. We will continue to pray for her recovery.

Oh I am so glad you posted this, and I got to see it.

Last night Jay, Marina's sister posted this update on the Yahoo Group:

Hello All. I have to apologize for not sending a post out yesterday but things are hectic over here. We have been at the hospital again yesterday and Marina's condition remains the same. The doctors said as long as there are no more set backs, she can still pull through. She is very weak as it was a major stroke and we now just keep on praying for her to pull through. Please keep her in your
thoughts and hearts please. We are holding up this side but we are still strong.

Thank you all for the wonderful emails and messages for support and love. I will try to keep her website going and if there are any one with a problem on
orders or anything, I will try to sort it out with Charlote's of DigiFavs who is helping me.
Thank you all again for what you are doing for Marina.
Jay (Sister)

I took think that the "embroidery" community is a wonderful and very supportive one. If someone can't help with donations, they email encouraging notes, and most of all pray for them. My heart goes out to them... they are in my prayers too.

17 November 2010 - Marina's website is unavailable as she has exceeded her bandwith at the moment - she is trying to get it back up and running again.
As for her health, she is home and healing, whilst still digitizing and trying to keep her site going. I am sure all prayers will still be appreciated.
