I have read it's best to use the clear tablecloth protector plastic. The jars are so cute but I haven't done any yet. Someone even suggested putting pennies inside, what a fun idea!

I used the vinyl for table and seat cushions, thick enough for the needle to not tear it, but thin enough for the needle to go through, I can't remember what gauge. I have washed my shirt plenty of times and even dried it in the dryer. There will be steam in between the vinyl and design when you first take it out of the dryer, but don't panic, as soon as the shirt cools the steam clears up. Of course press the article from underneath, it will steam up again, but will clear up once it cools down. I did my frog with the glasses that I put up on DBC for my nephew and used the vinyl for the glass lenses and it is awesome.....Vicki

I bought my plastic from Wal Mart, but have a friend that took a clear shower curtain that she got at Dollar Tree, and did the same thing. She saved a lot of money on it by doing that. I recommend turning the fabric wrong side out if you are going to wash and dry.

I saw the vinyl used with a in the hoop project for business cards and thought it was clever. I haven't tried anything yet with it.

I use the vinyl that's sold for tablecloth protection.
