Hello everyone, haven't been on here for a while, but, today I have the best news ever, I am now a very proud Nana, for the first time...for those of you who already are a grandparent, I really understand now what a very special feeling it is, just great!!!

As yet she hasn't got a name, but, she is a whopper!!! All 9lb 5oz of very cute chubby baby girl, with wrinkles in her arms and lovely chubby thighs!! Will have to go to the gym now to build up my muscles to hold her...hahaha..
Seriously though, so very cuddly, Mum is doing well and looking forward to taking her home and Dad of course is as proud as punch.
So, the attached photo in some way or other is my project.
Feeling good!!!!

Oh my gosh-she is beautiful-look at those chubby little cheeks and all that hair!-both my girls looked like they were bald until they we're 2 1/2-4 yrs old. Glad to hear mom is doing well-that's a big baby for the 1st one-I'll bet you have made a promise to spoil her every chance you get! Enjoy-I haven't had that pleasure yet-in no hurry until my oldest daughter loses her loser and finds Mr Right.
In this picture-your 1st born grandbaby looks like you! ~linda~

Sheryl, this is the best sort of project - you will have so many things that you can stitch out for her and I know the clothes that you will sew will be so lovely. What a super duper little bundle of joy - all 9lb 5 oz of her. My daughther was almost that big, but I was really late with her. She is a trim and lovely woman now.

Renee, what a pretty name - early by three days - well - that is amazing that she is that large - what a healthy thing she is. Give her a hug from me, too. I love holding the newborns.

Congratulations Sheryl and welcome to the club! What a lovely "project" you are holding :) Don't worry about the gym--she will give you time to adjust (but of course this means holding her often--but it sure beats the situps and crunches :)

Hi Sheryl,
Congratulations on the arrival of your grand daughter, I'm glad that Renee is doing so well too. I thought the following poem was sweet & thought I would share it with you. Hugs Claire
A little bit of heaven
Drifted down from above -
A handful of happiness,
A heartful of love.
The mystery of life,
So sacred and sweet
The giver of joy
So deep and complete.
Precious and priceless,
So lovable, too
The world's sweetest miracle,
Baby girl, is you.

She is gorgeous! You will have a very hard time tearing yourself away from her long enough to get your crafts/chores done for awhile! My grand-daughters(2) came to me as adults but I also have 3 wonderful great grands that I am getting to watch grow up. the baby was only a month old when My son married the grandmother. He was 41 and it is his first marriage but he went all out as for as marrying a whole family. Today is his 2nd anniversary. He is still flying high and enjoying most of it. He and his wife have had very little time together. There seems to have been an explosion of family moving back in with them ever since they got married! Right now, Gail's very sick Mom is living with them as well as her youngest daughter with her 2 sons, 2 and 4. I do not visit very often although they are close by. I hate to add to the confusion. When I do go, it is usually after church and for a very short visit.
