know how you feel mine is in the shop also.

We have a saying in our house to describe how tight things must be. DH and sons are car Mechanics so things are either tightened to, "touque" "fastened"
"maaked vas" "don't strip it" or "LADY TIGHTENED"
If DH tightens things, no one else can easily undo them so he "lady tightens" certain things he Knows I have to undo. Once I had to change the wheel of the car and really only got it off by jumping on the spanner, but that has to be tight or the wheels would fall off.
Sorry that your machine is in for repair and hope it gets back to you soon. Take good care when you get it back!

Just think of all the things you can catch up on doing now and will not have to do later so you will have more time to embroider.

Oh my - the days of waiting - I hope they pass quickly for you - you can always organize your files or plan for upcoming projects - get all that sewing out of they way - so you can just do embroidery when your baby comes home. Good luck!

I've never had a needle fall out, and don't like it when it is so tight that I have to get out the screwdriver. Don't worry, the mending will still be there when you get your machine back. To answer your question--You know it's too tight when you crack the needle bar! (just kidding--sort of) I'm glad you have your sister's machine to back you up. Someone as talented as you should NEVER be without a machine. Hope you will post picture of the homecoming dress--I bet she will be beautiful, and I can't wait to see it! Love, Daisy
