he was able to put the Windows 7-32 bit on it. Now all my programs are working like they should be including Embird with Iconizer. I bought the new laptop just to run Embird on it and wasn't very happy to find out that iconizer didn't work on it. If I had known that at the time, I wouldn't have bought either one. I sure didn't need another laptop.

Sorry, just had to vent a little.

It sounds like you got it worked out - you are so lucky to have more than one laptop - many of us - never have owned one - glad that the troubles are over with getting your program to work with your PC - hopefully - the people that make the programs will get with the technology and then when you upgrade - you don't have to worry about all this extra fine tuning - it will just work with the system. I am still running on XP because that works with the program that I have - I might get up with the times one day. Hehehe!

Embrid is working on a patch for their program to work on Windows 7-64. I would check with them every now and then for updates.

I still think XP is the greatest. A friend of mine has a new laptop with Windows 7 and it has been a real hassel.

A few months ago when my pc died I was so worried that I would have to learn a new system (win7) and that some of my programs wouldn't work. When I found this new one for $220 and it had xp on it I was overjoyed!

Now see, if you lived closer to me my husband could have done that for you. hehehe... I like my windows xp so I won't be using 7 anytime soon.:) But so glad you had someone to work it for you. Nothing as aggravating as a computer that doesn't do what you expect it to do.... Arggg... Terre

Happy for you!
I don't know how to work without my iconizer, it's great and simple, I work also with embird.

I have vista on my laptop - for what I'm doing - emails and embird and other embroiderythings it's o.k.
In my office I appreciate very much
XP - will not change it! It has all I want.
Vista is for.... - I don't know - do not meet anybody is happy with yet

Once I read a notice from microsoft, they have a statistic that most of the users only use less then 20% of the abilities of a programme.
Sometime less is more - experiences are sometimes steeling time only.
