I Don't have that machine but are you sure they are in the right format?? I bought a viking and it didn't take HUS like I thought it took a VP3

Go on their website and look up your machine it will tell you what format to use

You will need jef format. I have a 9700 and use a compact flash adapeter. It pulls apart the compact flash small squar goes into the computer. I also have digitizer jr so I open the file in that first and then save it to the card. I haven't tried saving the file sraight to the card but it might work and then insert it into the sewing machine. The cards is inserted into the PC Design card slot. Check if our machine has one.

What sandralochran said below - it isn't enough to transfer the file to the memory card. It does need to be in the right folder. I was very frustrated when I first tried to transfer designs and I took a while to work this one out by myself. That was before I joined this mad family of addicts! If you tell us where you are, someone may even be near at hand to help more directly.

First you need to know the compact disk you use to store designs you are going to embroidery should not be the same one you are storing all the embroidery designs you are saving. It can be but not a good idea. There are many wonderful hepful hints on storing designs here on Cute. Second the design must be in JEF format and third it cannot be in a folder or in a zip file. Download the design you wish to embroider onto the compact disk and put the compact disk into the adapter and the adapter into your machineyour machine. It must be just the design and it must be in jef format (applique may have several files to make one design)for the machine to able to read it. Then you don't want to go to my designs. There should be a picture of the adapter you put into the machine on the right hand side along with a picture for the fonts and a picture for the designs which come with your machine. Select the adapter and all the designs which are single jef designs should appear. The first set to appear are for the smaller "A" hoop and using the arrow keys at the bottom of the screen you can scroll through the designs until you get to the "B" hoop designs. Don't be tempted to store too many designs on your compact disk it slows down the opening of the files. I have one disk where I might keep 20 designs I think I might do soon. When the projects in my immagination change I delete some designs and add new ones. Your machine will read many more but you will have to wait and wait while the machine reads everything on the card and I don't have that kind of patience. "My designs" are for designs you create on the machine. I have only done this a couple of times when I have created monagrams so not real familiar with this function. PM me if you want more info.
