I did give the FSL bookmarks a go and this is the result of my first attemp, I did put a little tule under the designs because I wasn't sure if it would hold without is and it worked nice for me.
For the red one I used Mylar too

Your Bookmarks turned out nicely for you.
Now you have to be brave enough to do they as Free Standing Lace with out the tulle and trust they will hold together! LOL.

Carla, I am happy to see you tried the FSL - now be brave and allow the designer be the one that decides if you need tule or not - Hehehe! It is fun to have designs that you can trust and that you can also add to the work of the designer - such as the Mylar to add some bling - great work.
