Mylar is a kind of plastic witch can be used for special designs. mylar is what the shiny balloons are made from. You can buy them in sheets.(the mylar) and then apply them to your designs. Some are like applique others you can just lay it down and stitch over it. (fsl) I've not tried this, but do understand it.

I need to get some! Have a few designs to use with it but not the mylar yet.
