Where does one buy mylar, and how is it sold - by the roll or sheets? My husband has to shop for me, so I need to be precise - LOL.

I'll be waiting for an answer here. Will probably be online shopping.

You can get it online, read the tutorial and the what is mylar. Buy the irridescent or opal looking kind. You can sometimes find it at party supply stores, it doesn't neccessarily go by the name of mylar though. You do not want the plastic that they make the mylar balloons out of.

this is where I purchased some, lately too. It comes in squares and in an envelope - but you could put it on a roll - like your aluminum foil - if you wanted.

I got a piece of Mylar at a party store for .50. It came be the sheet. There is also a place that sells it. I think its Sharons Heirlooms or something like that. Tru Sick web sight.

I found most of mine at the "Party City" Store. It is located with the gift wrap paper. Sometimes it is folded like the tissue paper and sometimes it is on a roll. Good luck. Also found some at Dollar Tree.
