Here is a quick and easy way to make a storage sleeve for a curling iron. I went to the dollar store and bought a pot holder mitt. Then I cut open the thumb side so I could lay it out to embroider my design, (Embroidery Library for the design and lettering from my machine). With the mitt turned inside out I pinned it using my curling iron to determine the size, stitched it up along that line, turned it right side out and there it was! It even has a little loop to hang it up. I am going to make these for very inexpensive Christmas gifts and add names to them.

Clever, clever. I like the fact that you left the loop on in case someone wants to hang it up on a small hook. Thanks for explaining and posting. *4U

How clever!!!! I have made them out of reg. potholders with one side in the silver fabric. Ripped the loop open, and put velrco on it. Used the loop to wrap around the part you push open to curl hair. I really like your idea. Thanks for your time and talent, grannieannie
