Vicki, right now in Utah - USA is its 5:10 PM on Saturday, Octobere 2nd. and it is 77 degress outside and we have fall colors in the mountains and canyons, not yet down here.

Shirlene, my husband has some family in Salt Lake City. We met when they came here for a Family reunion.
Oh how fun - you were only about 45 miles from us - we live norht of SLC. We are also in the Mountain Standard Time Zone
Sorry for confusion- the American family visited us in Sth Australia. They loved it and so did we. At the time the American dollar was worth twice our Aussie dollar, so they had lots to spend! They also found it facinating to see how we catch our rain water in tanks as it is fairly dry here, but temperate climate.
Oh my - I didn't read your message right - they visited you for the family reunion. I see. Well nonetheless - if you visit them - let me know - it would be fun to met you. Oh my, it would be gret to spend lots - like they did.
And yes, as mentioned by another we don't change BACK until the 1st Sunday in November.

It is now 6:40 PM, here in Texas, and I forgot about Daylight savings time. It used to always be around Halloween, but has now changed, don't know when, hope someone tells me. Hahaha! Hugs, Judy

I am in Tamworth NSW australia. Yep I awoke this morning and thought the sun was a bit brighter than usual. we changed our clocks but someone forget to tell the animals. My cats were still asleep. lol<br />Helen

Ohio USA, 8:15 Eastern time in the evening, 52 degrees F, getting quite chilly going into Fall. The leaves are pretty with changing colors but my toes are cold! I think we will need an extra blanket on the bed tonight but then again, menopause will keep me warm, lol!

Hear in the United State we "Fall back" at 2 a.m. on the first Sunday in November by setting our clock back one hour and this will return us to Standard Time. The change to Daylight Saving Time allows us to use less energy in lighting our homes by taking advantage of the longer and later daylight hours. North American is a flip of your seasons. We are now having fall weather with the leaves changing and the air becomming cooler.

same plan here, but as we live West of the meridian where the'time' is programmed, we don't need it and subsequently don't like it!
My Dad believed daylight savings time was set up by the politicians who wanted to do their golfing.

Right now it is 9:07 pm. in Ontario Canada. Very cool and damp. We had rain today. The trees are really colourful now. We also turned our furnace on to take the chill out of the house. Hope we don't have to leave it on. We haven't had Indian Summer yet. Hope it comes later this week just in time for our Thanksgiving weekend.

Florida USA - it is 9:13 PM , and a balmy 75 degrees. But, it is getting some cooler here, and fall will be here soon - Plus we still have one more month of Daylight Savings Time, and hurricane weather possibilities.

We made the mistake this year of visiting FL for my very first time in Aug and it was over 90 each day, when I got out of the car my glasses kept steaming up and from St. Augustine we couldn't even get onto the beach so I spent 2 days there and didn't even get to feel the warm sand and ocean water on my feet. Next time we will fly and stay at a beachfront hotel!
Oh yes, a very hot time in Florida. But we hit 100 several times this year. The humidity is always so bad - thank goodness for AC. I love the beach and the water, but prefer the Gulf side - they water is clearer and blue, unlike the Atlantic side.

My DH used the tractor to chop/mulch up the leaves as we have 14 acres in a forested area. A leaf blower wouldn't even be of any use where we live but I have seen them blow a pile of leaf to bag in the city.

It is 1.45pm here in Mackay, Queensland. We do not have daylight saving. A beautiful day after all our rain. It is 26 degrees. Just perfect.

2.57pm Sunday NSW & wet.We hate daylight saving too. Its getting longer all the time ,when it first started it was the last Sunday of Oct to the last Sunday of March (or was it the first Sunday of March) now its the first Sunday of April.
Years ago we had a Westie puppy born in July that was use to being feed about 6pm every night (it was dark) but when daylight saving started she refused to eat her dinner because it was still light even though the other 2 dogs ate their meals .She waited until it was dark which meant she was getting feed about 3 hrs later in the middle of summer & the other dogs conveniently forgot that they had been fed & wanted their dinners too.Thankfully the next year she ate her dinner at the same time as the other dogs

We had a trial here in Queensland when my kids were babies and I was working shift work I had to start my early shifts at 6 am so I had to get up at 4.30 to get the kids to babysitters and get to work on time, but I could not get the kids to go to bed till really late because it was still daylight. i was so exhausted. But I wouldn't mind it now that they are grown up.

Hi Vicki, Lucky you we in Queensland do not have daylight saving....we are now 1/2 hour behind you. I work for South Australia from our head office in Brisbane it is a nuisance being on different time zones. it is now 2.40pm. Sally

Hi Vicki, I am in the ACT and it is now 3.53pm. I can relate with Sally, used to be a public servant trying to work with other offices all over Australia, and trying to keep track of the time in all our other offices. Lots of fun.
