And another snowflake added to our collection yesterday. However, this design is still "in progress" as some areas stitch out a bit more problematically. But then again, we are a bit less satisfied with the latest white thread we bought. (The brand is okay, but the particular cone seems to be of inferior quality.)

Beautiful - but don't you hate thread issues? I had a cone of white that caused me a lot of problems not long ago. These are very pretty.

Try putting your spool of white thread into your freezer at least over night....sometimes we get an older spool of thread and this seems to help ....good luck

Thanks for the hint. We've "cooled down" our underthread bobbins before, but haven't tried such a thing with spools.
Could you please explain the "cooling down".Do you mean putting thread into a storage bag or just putting it in the freezer?
We've put the metallic capsule which holds the underthread-bobbins into the freezer for a while.

After some more stitching yesterday, we can confirm that the problem was just the thread and not the design. Changed cone and had 2hours of uninterruped stitching at fairly high speed. It's going to be a lot of snow in Merseyside this year :c)
