I am starting to make burp cloths from diapers. I am trying to decide if they should be flat with trim on one end or folded and the long sides stitched together so it is long & narrow. Ideas?

I use the triple ply diapers and just leave them open. I have discovered that the bottom edges are not very even, so I cover them with fabric after trimming evenly. The item in the front has Miller's name on his burp cloth(diaper).

When I made burp cloths, I just cut flannel 8"x12" and sewed 2 pieces together, after embroidering one side. They seemed to work well, and moms & Grammas loved them. Hugs, Judy
