Use the same embroidery thread you use on the top.

I use a special cotton thread for FSL on top and in bobbin. No matter which thread u're using, always use the same thread in both ends.

Debra, I see you have your answer - I always use the same thread in the top and bobbin - it makes for a more uniform look on both sides of the ornament, that can bee seen on both sides. Good luck with the wedding dear.

Yes, if you can see the other side, as in ornaments of any kind, use the same thread top and bottom, whatever that thread might be. You'll see how much classier they look and they feel better, too.

Sorry to hear your having problems, Where did you get the designs?

If they are the bells I am thinking of I had the same sort of problems with the stitch-out and I gave up on them.

Before I washed out the WSS I stitched all around the area that didn't catch, using a stitch on my machine the I thought would blend in. I did this while the design was still hooped.

I've always use 2 layers of WSS. the same thread in top and bobbin (regardless of the thread used). I've also used fine quilting thread (as an experiment) and that too worked well. The key is to 'test' what you are going to do first before you do the actual pieces.........I too suggest that if the design is falling apart after you rinse it out, then there is something wrong with the way it was digitized...maybe not enough 'base' to hold it up.
