After I saw that beautiful tear drop sachet that Chris did a day or so ago, I just had to try something to see if I could make something like it without having to buy another design. Well, I took the panel from SD666 Nekayla Lace and stitched it out. I followed her gracious instructions, and this is what I came up with. I have not put any potpouri in it yet, so it remains open, but since I did not have the items to make the tassle I just used crystals. The desing that I used is proably a little smaller, but I think that it turned out realatively cute. I do not think that I will add the tassel, for this is going in a card to my sister. I did learn something today. After I stitched the lace to the organza I put fray check on it, and it caused a color bleed aroun the edges of the lace - I will be more careful next times.
No one will notice unless you tell them. Sukiray
I've just opened up the Projects and saw this - you've done a great job. And, like I said I'm sure you could do this with almost any lace design. I've finished off 5 of the 8 today. Will finish off the rest tomorrow when I have Cooper here.
Your sister will love it!. Sorry to read that the fraystop made the lace bleed. I've made mine in white and of course it didn't bleed.
Love and blessings Chris
