try and sew and it would not work. Ah well housework instead and maybe my sewing room will get a over haul. Luckily I am able to get the machine to the repairers in the m=next 10 days so hopefully not too long too wait. So I can think of you all happily sewing while I can spend ages here knowing there can be no embroidering

Yes I can organise and plan but them not too good at the getting done. I am sitting on my sewing room floor and not sure if halfway through the tidy up that it looks worse:(

This is a good time to get your machine ready for all the sewing you'll be doing getting ready for Christmas....we just hate giving them up for a few days. I'd tell you to go ahead and start your Christmas cookie baking, but it's a little early even if you were to freeze them. Besides that if your bunch is like mine they'll have them all eaten before then and I'd just have to bake more.... Have a great day and maybe pick up a good book to read while you're waiting for the return of your machine.

Dont think it will be a good book think it will be the day job as I have much I want to get done at the moment. Sewing is a fun and relaxing hobby from a busy day

So sorry for you, especially at this time of the year..... timewise and costwise.... This has to be a timely warning to the rest of us to be extra vigilant about keeping machines in top condition, too. I dread having my machine get sick with all the plans that are whirling around in my head right now.

My sewing room also tends to get worse halfway to clean-up, keep on going, you are going to find lots of things for your next projects.
Now with your machine not busy, Bundle the fabrics and notes of the design choices for your next best projects in a "To DO BOX ".When your machine is ready you are going to be wizzy-zippy and get them all done in jffy.:)

What machine do you have that needs attention
there is many good advice out there for any help..
first time I took mine in for its service
my dealer showed me how to perform a little more maintenance then was advised in the manual..
I have 2 x brother innovis 700e..
There is a plastic cover he took of which revealed
the upper thread path.. he showed me how to check that no threads were caught there ( notorious on this machine I believe)..which can make the machine run very bad..
this has since saved me a lot of trips to the dealer.
as I trusted his advice,
