My prayers are with you. I too, suffered a car accident about 7 years ago, and the aftermath can be really traumatic. I was not badly injured, just a bit of bruising, but the shock set in a couple of days later and I felt really dreadful. Please get your back checked out at hospital.

My prayers are with you. I was in an accident over 25 years ago, and just this past June I found that it caused injuries to my neck and back that caused me to have disk surgery in June. If I had gone to the hospital back when the accident happened I could have been spared years of pain. Please, please go to have a doctor check you out.

Please if you haven't already gone, go to the doctor ASAP. It can be charged to the insurance of the person who hit you and don't sign off on the accident till you feel better and know there is nothing wrong. There could be something wrong and if you have to pay for it on your own it could be very expensive.

Melita, if you have not been checked you definitely need to be. It may be several days before you feel all the effects of this. You have my prayers along with your husband & son.

A lot of insurance companies have a time limit for seeking treatment. It varies 24 hours, 36 hours, 48 hours, etc. You must be seen within the time allowed so the insurance of the person who hit you pays. Both of my children have each been hit and their cars totaled 3 times each (really don't like those phone calls). The other drivers insurance paid in all the cases but it is a hugh inconvenience and their injuries were paid for plus long term anguish. Also two months ago my son was hit on one of the hottest days of the summer hours away from where he lives and the other insurance company gave each person in his car $1,000.00 for waiting six hours for a rental car in the heat just because they asked to be reimbursed for their lost vacation day. So ask if you think you deserve something extra. God Bless You and hope you feel better soon.

I am so sorry to hear this! Get to the doctor, all of you should have gone to the hospital right away for evaluation! The pain never sets in till the next day or so. Doesn't it anger you that the kid didn't have insurance? They show commercials that say, "Get caught driving without insurance and you will lose your license, car and pay heavy fines" but they don't do anything! A woman passed my husband on the right, partially off the road and sideswiped him, no insurance, she got a $50 fine...we had to pay our $500 deductible and she made small payments to our insurance co. to pay them back the $1800 to fix our car, we just found out she quit paying and moved yet nothing happens to her!

Hi you have my prayers. Go get checked right away. You may have injured a disc or something else. We were hit from behind a few years ago and my hubby ended up with a ruptured lower disc and I had whiplash. He went through a lot of pain and medical care for years and still does. I had to go for months . It is nothing to fool around with. Even though he did not have insurance you do. That is what it is for! Get a lawyer and go after the one that hit you with no insurance. He is responsable to pay the insurance company back and for the damage he has done. Insurance is mandatory here and if you get caught without they take away your license. I hope you have gone to the doctor . You will have my prayers .I went through the same thing a year ago some guy hit me from the rear we were takon to the hospital in a ambaliance. I am still having trouble with my back we do not have a settlement with insurance yet they paid for my car but not the medical bills yet it is in the hands of a lawyer so all we can do is wait and see what is going to happen there.

I'm so sorry that you had an accident. I hope you were checked to make sure that you have no internal injuries. I don't know how old your son is, but they usually advice people to be checked after an accident, because sometimes there can be internal injuries that can have serious consequences.
