Wow! Beautiful work! When i first learned to crochet I started on the small thread. Never attempted a bedspread or table cloth. I really enjoyed it. Since then I've done afghans and bed dolls. I still always have something to crochet when i am traveling out of town. Thanks for showing your good work. Roberta

Thanks for showing this. I have a pile of linen to go through that was my mothers for me to decide what I am keeping and what will go to my brother. What is awful is that I have forgotten the history that went with many of the pieces. It is so long since I have seen them. It is great to see them again but I am not sure which grandmother embroiderd them :( I do like the name hope chest.

This is really beautiful. Your sons will cherish it. I have a few hand crocheted pieces my grandmother made. She always had a ball of crochet thread within arms reach. After she passed, I got her treadle sewing machine and all her crochet hooks and supplies. What a treasure.

I am sure their wives will be very happy to care for them and love them, too. I know your sons will be happy you saved them for them, as well.

What beautiful work - glad I could make you bring back memories. LOL And I know what you mean about sheding somes tears. How I wish I could have been able to talk to my mother about what I can now do. She did not recognize me the last years (8) of her life, but always had such a sweet smile for me.
