I only use WSS (water soluable stabilizer) It works great and I have neve had a problem with any fabric that has a pile including terry towel.

water soluble is what i use, could it be because it is old?

There are different kinds of WSS, there are some that look like fabric,(mesh) and some that look like thin paper. Which one did you use on the fleece? Maybe that will help someone come up with a solution.

WSS only here too, then I peel off what I can and use a spray bottle on what I can't and rub with my finger but I like the paint brush idea that sciencewidow gave.

I wash it out.

If I'm giving it as a gift or selling it I just tell the person that it will wash out with first washing. I never try to get it out of small spaces since it may pull the material, especially on towels where it will pull the strings. Just let it stay till you wash it or use a spray bottle or paint brush that someone mentioned.

I use WSS on top of towels ... when finished I tear off what I can and for the hard to reach areas I use a wet paper towel (and blot) the area...I wait 10-15 seconds then apply a dry paper towel (and blot) the WSS attaches to the dry paper towel and it's gone.

I use a spray bottle with warm water, spray over the wss, leave for a few seconds. You will see that it becomes all wrinkled , it will just peel off. Use your tweezers to lift it in the small areas. I don't have a problem. Hugs Yvonne

I tear off as much as comes off easily. I don't try for tiny pieces because it can "fuzz" the material. Then I spritz it with a spray bottle and use a towel to blot and walla! gone.

I get a plastic from my brother store that stay in the stitching it pulls-away if you hold the stitches and then carefully cut away any small area

I like 'badgemaster' best. Spritz with warm water and it is gone. Best price I found last week when I ordered 2 rolls was at http://allstitch.com/. They are $10 cheaper than many others for a 50 yd roll. I just started on 3 lace tablecloths with a Zundt design so I will need a lot of badgemaster. For the lace I use 2 layers of it. I looked at the design a long time then saw a project posted that really inspired me. Link to project photo is:

For the tiny places that are hard to get off I dip a Q-tip in water squeeze slightly and dab and rub on the WSS.....works well for me.....Janet
