I am new at using an embroidery machine, and just purchased the card writer for the Brothers Embroidery Machine. The instruction book only has how to upload the cd, and my computer doesn't have word to open any further. Is there a shortcut on downloading patterns to my desktop to upload on my card writer, or am I wasting time and money? Thanks!

First I would like to Welcome to this wonderful site and to the Embroidery world I have Brother PE basic, what do you have, and your machine? This is what i do my machine is brother 6500 After Dl the design in your embroidery folder, I hook my PE Basic writer to the pc, open my program, go where my design is, click on it, send it to the card later insert in my machine. Hope i was a little help.

Hi Welcome to cute. you should have an icon on your desktop, is it PED Basic, click on it to open it
