Husband gave me money to go to the mall and buy myself some new clothes. How do I stop myself from spending it at the fabric store!!! LOL

Just step away from the door, tell yourself you need pre-made things right now..........oh, who am I to talk? I can't pass JoAnn's without stopping in!

Tell your hubby, "On my way shopping, I briefly saw the reflection in a window of a lady suffering from an addiction; my heart went out to her and also my hand with all your money. I told her to use it wisely for any cure, or "assistance" with her ailment! I, then, entered the fabric shop, knowing I had done my good deed for the day!"

I am with Melissa on this one - you need to buy fabric to make clothes - more for the dollar, too.

Spend half on clothes , half on fabric. That way you are helping the economy by helping out 2 merchants. How many clothes do you really need anyway? LOL

Usually I ask myself how much space for storage is there& try to donate a few things I haven't used in a few years. It's a challenge to sort out when choosing clothes or fabric. Whatever you decide let us know.

there is ALWAYS a fabric store on the way to any clothing store. My car automatically drives into the fabric store no matter what! I can't just go by a fabric store without stopping in "just to look" and come out empty handed. You can always buy clothes afterwards!

I usually tell myself I wouldn't find any clothes that fit or that I like anyway, so why bother shopping for them? Then I head to the craft store, or fabric store. I never have to be concerned I can't find my size, or color, or any of that. Then I buy supplies for my hobbies, and go home happy.

Fabric store almost always wins.
Husband is happy because you are happy...
and those that receive your gifts are happy.
How can the fabric store be wrong?

Go to the fabric store. Save a few dollars out and go to a thrift store so you can pick up something in the clothing line!!! Hugs, Mary
