The race that stops a nation, It is an international horse race and even school kids pick sweeps and have a flutter, what fun, but so hard to pick a winner. You can guarantee if a horse makes it to the Melbourne cup it has a chance of winning. The winner was Americain, hehehe. It is a Australia's biggest horse race and the richest handicap race in the world. I am now inspired to digitize free standing lace fascinators for horse races.

Being from Texas everyone was hoping the Texas Rangers would win. my son went to games 3 and 4. He had 3 extra tickets and sold them for 1600.00 Prices were going thru the roof. On ebay they were going from 2 to 4 thousand dollars. I could not enjoy a game knowing the ticket cost that much. I would be thinking about all the other things I could be doing with the money.
