For years i have been making towels & toppers to give as gifts. Now i have come up with a topper that never wears out & when the towel is finished throw it out & buy a new one or make a new one. This is done using an old fashioned jar ring & by crochetting .I hope you can see by my pictures as i don't know how to place more then one at a time Carolyn

This is a brilliant idea, Carolyn! We made a similar thing (in a way), with smaller rubber washers and a lanyard to carry a drink bottle (at a sewing retreat) -maybe you could do a range of different sized rubber washers for different things :) Let's see, door hangers, festive or not, keyrings...

thanks i thought of different things to but it had to be useful for me LOLCarolyn

Good idea to make them big enough for towels. I used to crochet over 1/2" bone rings and pin inside my coat to hold my scarf when I took it off.

Hi there, sorry to burst your bubble but I've been doing these for about 30 years & the woman who taught me was 61 @ the time & she learned from her mother. You can also leave the handle off & add a ribbon bow & some bells & it goes on all your door knobs. I very much like them & you did a awesome job too!
