it wasn't perfect walking - but the best that I have seen him do since the stroke. I am excited to find out - whether or not we can generate enough funds to go ahead and get it - they also talked to him about his arm - which I am thankful for - they said that the goal is to get them both for him - so we will wait to see how that all works out. Please keep us in your prayers. He really would benefit from all that these devices can do for him.

How exciting Shirlene! I am so happy for both of you. I am going to keep praying that the Lord makes a way. I got my husband to watch the videos with me, and we are so excited. He was thinking of someone we know that had a stroke and has trouble walking and moving his arm. This could be wonderful for him too. He will talk to this family himself.

The devices don't look cumbersome and getting them the sooner the better so that the muscles don't atrophies. If he came move around better his frame of mind will improve and make your day better also. There are some amazing appliances to help with disabilities unfortunate they are not cheap. Praying that you will be able to get funding for these devices.

Janet, thanks - the toe is healing - the Plantar Fasciitis is coming along with times that it is really bad - I threw my hip out for a day or so - last week - that is sore from time to time - but you know - I am just falling about and then regrouping - I will get by - one day at a time - I don't have a thing to complain about - things are working for us - little by little. Being a nurse I am still amazed at all the new advances they are making. If I were younger, research nursing is what I would like to do. Everyday they come out with new ways to make things better. Keep your chin up shirlene it's a long slow process but you 2 are getting there.

It is amazing!!!! Can he get any VA benefits if so they probably will help pay for the devices. I am not sure if you ever said he was or not but it might be something to check into. Good Luck!

Sara, we are waiting for his return visit to get a referall to VA to check on this - when he has improved from the seizures and mini stroke.
