Maybe my machine is telling me it needs a service. I am having trouble with the tension on the baby bear designs from this site. Anyone else have this problem? Marg

Marg, I am not - but haven't had my machine's running for weeks now - so I am of no help - just wanted to tell you - this time of year is frustrating - when you have trouble and the service people are always so busy, too. Good luck dear. Try cleaning out the bobbin area and rethreading both top and bobbin - see if that helps. *4U

Shirlene I have already done all that. Will just try another design. I need this towel in 2 days for a gift.

How long has it been since it was last serviced, could be time again.

I am very ashamed to say it has never had a service. OMG just checked and I bought it in Dec 2007. Well overdue.
You sound like me. I got mine in Sept 2007 and never had it serviced until I had a problem. I'll know better next time.
I think this is a "wake-up call".

Hi Dear,
I always have trouble with tension when using the special bobbin threads and learned that my machine likes ordinary polyester sewing thread best.
Maybe the different thicknesses of the threads caused my problems.

I changed the needle and the bobbin case. Have been using that same bobbin case for years. Anyway I got the towel done. Will get a service.
