I have not - but have from metro thread and would suggest that - if you decide you are not going to go with the Smart Needle thread.

I've bought the special from Design by SiCK and it does fine. It sometimes twist on me, but other than that, I like it. It has a beautiful shine to it. I think it is a Poly40 which is what I buy locally also. It isn't on sale right now, but it is still 1.00 a spool and you get 61 fabulous colors. The price is 45.00 when it is on sale. So you might want to look for it.

Not used Smart Needle but a big believer in MetroEmb.com thread (and prewounds). I bought the 166 all colors set and now I have the colors to sew just about anything!

Yes I have a box of fifty colors, it also comes with a matching bobbin attached to the bottom of the spool. I haven't had any trouble with it. I believe that it's still on sale for $99, I paid more than that when I bought mine. I got a free set of designs with my purchase. I've never tried Metro thread but I see alot of people use it.

I use mettler poly sheen 100% polyester thread and had no trouble with breakage.
