This design was inspired by the Rolf Harris song "Six White Boomers". For those that don't know what "Boomers" are, they are kangaroos.
It is available from my website. Scroll down for the link.

Love this design (and all your other Aussie designs). I immediately thought of Rolf Harris' song. Disappointed that it is too big for my 4 x 4 hoop.

Thank you, deegee. Yes, I'm sorry I couldn't make it smaller, but it does have a lot of detail in it and it would be just too dense.

I have never heard the song - but it must be a fun one - as is your design. Hehehe!

Are you meaning if we have kangaroos pulling the sleigh with Santa Koala driving and a little joey sitting next to him? No.
I got this idea from a cute little song written and sung by Rolf Harris (you can google him. The song is called "Six White Boomers").
In Australia we have a normal, fat man called Santa Clause, dressed in red, being pulled around in his sleigh by reindeer.
Only if joey (a baby kangaroo) has lost his mummy, does Santa go on a second trip around Australia, his sleigh being pulled by kangaroos,to look for her. And, yes, he does find her.
Probably the closest we have have as an Australian tradition is having a BBQ instead of a turkey roast.Although a lot of people still have turkey, no matter how hot it gets!

Thanks for the explanation--really a neat story. The design is a "hoot"--think I will put it on a shirt for DH!

I love it Ricky, and I love that song. I have it on CD with a bunch of other Aussie Christmas Carols.

Yes, I think it is a cute song, but it is not a Christmas carol. It is just a Christmas song. A carol has religious references.
