I cannot believe it is the 1st December today. Where has the year gone? I hope all Cuties are well into their Christmas preparation and shopping. Have a great day. Sarah.

Will be the 1st here tomorrow and will start my holiday cookie baking, most of these will be stored in the freezer and can easily be taken out if unexpected company pops in. One year I made an extra batch of a family Nut Roll recipe and passed them out to friends and neighbors as well as family. My dsil works within a mile of our home and sometimes I would call him and tell him to come by and pick one up to take home to share with my dd. She called me on day and said Mother. don't send anymore nut rolls home with Stephen. I couldn't imagine why unless she thought he might be gaining weight and I expressed that thought. She just laughed and said no that wasn't the problem, He'll come by and I take it out of the freezer, he gives me big hug and kiss and out the door he goes, he has about a 40 minute drive to get home. Roll should be thawed out and will be good dessert or for breakfast treat...right. WRONG...they never make it home as he starts eating it almost as soon as he leaves my driveway....now if I call him to take a roll home I've also let her know one is on the way and she calls and threatens him with his life if he should eat it all. Haven't gotten all the gifts bought yet but at least I know what we're giving to everyone and that is a chore in its self. Hope your holiday preps are well underway and that you can take the time to enjoy the holiday.

Merry Christmas to you. I have no choice but to be done with most of it. We leave next Tuesday for a quick annual visit home.

Ah! 1st of December and my 4th anniversary as a member of Cute. Always a day I'm pleased to remember as it was a very good day in 2006 when I found this site - and I've been a quite (mostly) lurker ever since.
