Freida, thanks for the address. I spent a couple hours reading, then making sure all my stuff is OK. Boy, we sure have to be careful, don't we? I'll never understand people who think it's 'fun' to make other people's computers crash, what can they possibly gain by it? They don't even know the people they're hurting, & it's not like they're in the computer repair business & are generating more customers or something. Well they'll get their 'reward' someday. Thanks again for the info, it was scary but helpful. Marji

Marji, I agree, it's senseless vandalism. I work on the *what goes around comes around* theory, it *will* turn around and bite them one day for sure. Have a beautiful day everyone.

Hi, Marji, i am like you I simply can't figure it either. There is no way to figure out an evil heart. I received an attack in Nov. but my antivirus shut the attack down and closed my connection as soon as it started and it did no damanage. I restored my computer to a previous date just to make sure nothing was remaining. Everything has been fine since then. I use Avast antivirus. They offer a free antivirus at Avast.com. Besure to back up your patterns too. God Bless, Freida

Hi, Freida, I use Macafee, it updates itself constantly, and runs a regular check every few days on the whole system. DH set it up for me when I got the laptop, thank heaven. I luckily have had no problems, and I do a regular backup. Just hope nothing happens now that he's not here to fix things, he wasn't just DH, he was my computer guru too, among many other lovely things. I miss him. Marji
