Have such a workload tomorrow - seniors lunch at parish and really need my transport! Guess poor hubby will have to fetch and carry!

The batteries these days don't give you any warning - they just die. At least you weren't in the bottom of a canyon in a remote part of New Mexico miles away from a town or anything living but cows, lizards, and bugs...like I was - and - with a cell phone whose battery was almost dead, too. And to top it off, when we finally were able to climb out of the canyon and call for help, our friend went looking for us in the wrong place because the Rock Hunting Guide of New Mexico had the wrong name in the book for the canyon. By the way, now when we go rock hunting we carry an additional car battery with us. What an adventure!!!

Thank goodness it was at work an dboss hadn't gone home yet. So we parked the car in and he brought me home. Batteries are really shocking. In years gone by the would last 15 years now you lucky it'd 25 month (out of warranty)

There's so little in our control and life surely hands us many frustrating situations! I guess I'm telling I'm old, when I am now able to smile (instead of cry), when everything possible seems to go wrong, and tell myself "You are still alive, healthy, and loved! Tomorrow things will be better!" Aging does seem to have a way of making us take things more at ease. At least, I haven't had high blood pressure yet!! LOL

Glad you got home safely :D

My neighbour's car "died". She thought it was the car battery too, turned out it was a dead battery in the car alarm remote on her key ring .. not so expensive :) xXx

I understand bad days all too well. My husband blew the engine in his 71 Mustang a couple of months ago. He thought it was a bad water pump and could make it home. I pay for AAA on our cars. So he gets a new engine for the Mustang and I now have to wait to gather enough money to get a new embroidery machine.

There's always something "else" before the new machine. I got my first machine as a wedding gift from my mom in 1971!. It took until 2006 before I got a new one - in a way am glad as the ME today is far superior to what was avail in years gone by

Your aren't alone-my car gave up the ghost this past summer-wouldn't do ANYTHING! Luckily it was still parked in my driveway. Turned out to be the starter-so sick of this car-it's a 98 Pontiac Grand Prix that is ready for a trade in-can't wait for spring-it will be replaced by then YAY!
