Thank You but not for every time someone posts a reply to something, because I just don't see that the number of flowers you have is that important. Call me a Grinch if you wish.

Not a grinch, just sensible. I give them to let people know they are an important part of the group but I do not feel it is necessary everythime they post something. When I am online and go down the line reading the post I try to give most everyone a flower but they are of no value except to how the person feels about them. I can say thank you for something but it does not seem as important as giving a flower to some of the group. It is just a smile to me. i have always called them smiles. My long post came from anothers concept of the flowers. If they make someone smile, it is no trouble to click on them.

Hi, I like to give the flowers when I can. Most of the time it is when I read text and when I receive a free design. Only takes a moment. And people like them. I am a giver so I give them a flower.

Well, that's fine that you feel that way.;) I use them for many things; to say I appreciate what you had to say (gave you one), you made me smile (gave lindalee one),I appreciate that you took the time to answer a question (gave arisann one), I agree with you (gave lflanders one), to say thank you, to say I love you, to just mark for myself that I have read a post. It isn't a case of winning or a prize, just that you be acknowledged as part of the family. I won't call you a Grinch, I will call you a sister.;)

I've been a member of Cute for over 4 years now (just). Look at my flower total it's VERY small. Does that worry me ? NO.
Does that make me value this site less? NO
Does that make me less of a cutie than others? DEFINITELY NOT.

Flowers or not I value this site and long may it continue I say.

Withour my financial situation the way that it is, I'd gladly trade them in for some moola. :-) The flower thing has become such a petty argument within this community. Good LORD in heaven, I wish Ms. Veronka would remove them and certain members would just move past this ridiculous need focusing on something so trivial.

oh
i don't need many, one flower is enough in the garden to bring a smile. so please don't take away flowers, those people would likely just find something else to be upset about.

you're probably right. :-)

I don't think you are a grinch. I think the issue is about some folks who think that it is about having a high number of flowers and do everything in their power to get more flowers. I am with you. I like to give flowers to say thanks or for appreciation. Getting a flower is very special to me and I am grateful to be able to earn a flower through helping someone in some way. I think most of us feel that way.

Well I have been here just over 4 years now and I always thought that the flowers were given to the people who put up projects and you gave them a flower for their work. If I think the person has done good work I give them a flower as they deserve it for a great project. Not for people talking to each other, a simple written thanks would do for cheering you up would have done and giving them verbal support would mean more to some. Some of the people here are getting very obessed with the flowers that they are going to great lengths to try and out do everyone so they can have the most. I think there is more to life than worring if you have the top amount of flowers than anyone else. More time sewing and embroidering is needed to show everyone what you have made from the designs we get free and bought, than to worry about the flowers and yes I give them out too, but only if I feel it is in order and you deserve it. Sorry if any of you are afended but I tell it how it is. Sandra H. Australia
