force again. What an experience for me, coming from a country where we had snow last in 1981(except for the odd snow falls in a 1 or 2 regions during exceptional cold winters, if any). Walking down to the village shop this morning I could imagine Santa with his reindeers around every corner. This what I have experienced, I have only seen in movies and Xmas cards. Hope I am going to have a white Xmas!!!

Wonderful to hear from you Marthie. The pictures are amazing. Just take care. Heard from my cousin yesterday in London. Not much snow but a lot of ice on the roads. Just be careful. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas. will want to hear all about it when you return. Love Sarah.

Hi Marthie and welcome to the UK. I live up a 25% hill which the police have put barriers across to stop anyone daft enough driving up it (or sliding down). Getting to work was different.
Enjoy the snow and keep searching for Santa.

Marthie, I am sure this is a strange time of year for you to be traveling from a hot or warm climate to cold - but you have a mission - which I am sure it is worth it all. Enjoy - I like the picture you painted for Santa and the reindeer coming around the corner - you picture is is cold looking, too. Hugs! Travel safely......

Thanks Eleen. En weet jy wat? Ek het AL MY EMBROIDERY DESIGNS VERLOOR!!!!!!!!!! Ek het absoluut niks oor van 4 jaar se gekoop, ruil en versamel nie
by eleen 08 Dec 2010
Hoe het dit gebeur. Jy huil seker - ek het lus om vir jou te huil. Het die laaste ruk baie backups gemaak om seker te maak. Het van te veel gehoor waarmee dit gebeur het. Bel my wanneer jy weer in Sodom en Gomorra kom.
by marthie 08 Dec 2010
Ja ek sal. Ek het my designs op n external harddrive en op rekenaar gehad. Rekenaar het gecrash en ek het nie designs herlaai op nuwe harde skyf van rekenaar nie. Baie duur prys om te betaal.

Wow Marthie - and here in Newcastle it's about 30C today and for the rest of the week. Lots of rain too which is unseasonal but welcome.

Our poor farmers have been deluged with floods near Wagga Wagga and I am afraid the cherry crops have been ruined. Lots of other fruits, wheat etc. also have just gone. Thousands and thousands of acres of crops just vanished - but we will get up and start again.

Hope you have a great time in Scotland and England. I'll get there one day. Love and blessings Chris

Hi Chris - What is happening to our weather? Here in the Cape we are desperate for rain but other parts of the country are having too much rain? I do hope your farmers will come right. Sarah

What a time to spend in the snow! I remember our trip to England during the Holidays - a long time ago, and what a difference it was from Florida. But, we all loved it, and had such a great time. have fun.

Hey Marthie are you snowed in yet? The news is full of people stuck in snow in Scotland, even a school where the kids could not get home...

I am glad somebody is enjoying the snow, there is so much moaning going on and for what? One thing we can not change is the weather and we have to make the best of what we get!

Living in Quebec all my life Marthie, Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without snow and we really got a good pile of it this past week. Mind you we will be in Toronto for the holidays and they don't have any so far, but hopefully it will wait until after we get the drive up behind us, not nice to have to do that drive in a snowstorm...Enjoy the holidays, Hugs x0x0x0

Please be very careful! I do hopeyou enjoy your holidays! We get so little down south(atlanta area) that mosy of us have no idea how to drive in the mess. There sure are alot of fender benders when we get the little bit that we have. I had to drive through the Smoly Mountains in Tn, several years back whe we snuck off and headed for the mountains with only 2 dys off. Guess what we had 3 before we could get back. They closed the pass between Gatlinburg and Cherokee for several hours to salt the roads. It was some slow gowing through that area. My poor Baby Pekingese had on a sweater and it was his 1st snow. He went out to do his business and ended up inside a pnone booth across the street. He did not like it at all.We enjoyed watching his antics all day long. We got a few pictures of him and he was a mess! Gizzy is gone for sometime now and he lived to be over 16 so it was a good while back when I got my 1st try at driving in the snow in the mountains. Was not fun!!!
