I see a few are buying a second machine as a back up.
I live 2 hours drive from my dealer and he has had a bereavement in his family and his repair man has been ill. The other side of life has been busy with shedloads of the daytime job so... when the baby is back I will have time to enjoy sewing again. She is being delivered this weekend

Now that is an idea! How many bought machine's in the month of December - I did my first one! My second at the end of November. My third the end of October.

Take mine back again this saturday, sigh.. It has been in the shop more than it has been sewing. I am glad I did not get rid of my old one. I would have been hurting for christmas gifts if I had. Don't have a big hoop but can still do some things. Hope yours is all better when you get it back.

I think we just over work our machines so much at this time of the year that they just simply can't keep up with us....think maybe we should start our projects earlier in the year. We'd have plenty of time for any pitfalls that might arise and not have to be in a work frenzy. Good thought but never seems to come to pass.
