Sorry! Don't be sad, pile up all the projects that you are going to get done when your machine gets back. I do this by choosing designs,Marking and starching fabric, planning a quilt layout and cuting my blocks,Ovelocking and hemming for the next table cloth (or 10).Now the TODO pile is rather a large stack.

Sorry for your "loss" - I will be in the same boat very soon - mine is starting to act up and it will be a year in January since I got it so it will need a check-up anyway. Hang in there - hoping the time passes quickly for you.

I know the feeling I'm 4 weeks and counting. Be lucky it only 4 days. All I had made is one set of ornaments.

Sarah I am so sorry. Seems to me that there are a lot more post about machines being in the machine hospitals. Maybe we worked them too hard. If the long time it takes to get them back is an indication that there is a shortage of repair people maybe this is career one should consider. Nay I much rather create with them.

Mine is also getting ready for it's annual pilgrimage to the repair shop, except I've found our local quilting shop has a serviceman come in once a week and he fixes everything 'the same day', wheeeeeee, last time it was 2 weeks before I got it back.

I am fraid mine is going to have to go in after Christmas, just keep hoping it will last until then. Still have stuff to finish before Christmas. It just needs a tune up but I will be without for a few days. Maybe a good time to do some other projects. I could also cut out a couple of jackets I have the fabric for and haven't done because I would rather embroidery.. *4U.

Oh I'm not looking forward to getting mine serviced! Can I suggest, go reorganise your sewing room or a cupboard that's been on the long finger for a while???? It will keep you busy and might keep your mind off missing your machine!

I know you're going to be going through withdrawal symptoms while it's in the shop...but a little break will be good for you as well as the machine.

Isn't it terrible how much we miss out machines when they aren't working? I only use mine for fun but I get depressed if I haven't done at least one thing in a day.!
