I used the Tangled Up In Christmas Penguin from Embroidery Library with the Applique Shapes from Fives Star Fonts. The lettering is font 10 from my PE Design. The penguin is incredibly dense but in a beautiful way. It has 3 layers in different directions just for the hat band fur and the body even looks 3D. This design has almost 23,000 stitches so I used 2 layers of medium weight tear away under my felt and 2 layers of light weight WSS on top. You may not need the WSS but I had a bad experience with a different dense design so I was really trying to make this without a problem. It's a lot of time and thread to do twice. I backed it with red felt so you can't see the penguin through the back. I didn't have to do it twice :)
