that is the size of a novel. 8x10 roughly and I Absolutely love it. Looks like it's going to be ok. I did get the extended warranty. But I would lose so much right now. I still need to download my new designs on my flash drive. Please wish me luck!!!

Hope it is fine! I have an Eee netbook and I hate it, screen is too small and it is the slowest thing I have ever dealt with so my son is looking around for a used regular size laptop for me and the netbook is going to be sold on ebay I think. I have barely used it in the year and a half I have had it cause it frustrates me so much.

Oh no!! I just love mine and it is very fast and I love how little it is because I sit on the couch with it in my lap and it doesn't weigh anything. The bigger laptops hurt my legs. Hope you find a good one that you like.

Thanks, my youngest son is a computer whiz and he will find me one that will work out. Hubby offered to buy me a new one the other day but I told him it was too much money and Ryan would find me a nice used one.

I have a 48cm monitor attached to my laptop makes it easy to see what I am doing. I only have my programs on the laptop to keep it fast. All design are on portable memory sticks and external hard drives. Helen

OH I SO know how you feel!!!! I will say a little blessing for you that it will be fine.

I did the very same thing to my laptop and I sat down and cried, I was too scared to even pick it up and see if it was OK..... When I finally picked it up the screen section was sort of hanging off the keyboard part and it appeared as if it was separated from the casing. I thought for sure the screen would be broken. Thankfully it wasn't and I managed to push it all back together and it still worked like a dream. It's an older type, very heavy Toshiba Tecra S2 and it speaks volumes for the quality of these machines.

Sometimes we can be so lucky but the fright we get is enough to make us stop taking things for granted. LOL!!!!
Needless to say I am much more careful after such a close call.
I hope yours is as happy an ending as mine was.
Hugs n roses, Meganne

Oh I love my Eee PC! I have a Hewlet upstairs with CPU and large screen. My husband has a Toshba lap top. But my little Eee is very little and I drag it all over the place.

Know what? As long as the screen is not broken, chances are it's not terminal :) I was just on vacation and a friend of mine brought her Eee, and she packed it in her "carry on" luggage. She uses it as an E-Reader. BUT--BACKUP THOSE FILES!

I do have all of my files backed up but I had just spent the entire evening downloading designs from cute because my memembership is brand new and I couldn't stop myself and those were the designs I hadn't backed up yet!!
