I fancied a change from snow so I stitched this Green Man design from Urban Threads to convince myself that spring would come if I was patient! I added the words which are from a song by John Thompson from Cloudstreet. There are over 50000 stitches which took more than two hours to stitch. I love the detail but it took such a long time!

I love this Sue - I've seen this face in a movie and for the life of me I can't remember which movie. It was obviously a fantasy one, it will come to me eventually.

I sometimes find designs too dense when I've stitched them out and thought WOW! this digitiser has put in too many stitches. I like ones that haven't too many layers.

Love and blessings Chris

I know it took a long time, but it also shows....it is just a magnificant design and if it didn't have this much detail it would loose most of the character of this green man....I like the embroidery library designs due to the build up underneath and the complex details that they have, then again I love redwork designs as I just think they are so simple an elegant....so I think we need both....you did a great job on this......thanks for sharing....

Sue this is great. I too have stitiched this design and it is (apart from yesterday) the only piece of work I have produced and posted. Yes it took a time but watching it develop is amazing. I have stitched the design 3x. It looks really good as a book cover

It is but I'm surprised there aren't more green man designs available. I've got him on my list for when I learn to digitise!
