I got a request from a friend to make 2 purses for her granddaughters for Christmas. My machine only does 4x4 so I was really struggling for some ideas when I went to my daughters house. She had these cute little jeans Size 4T slim, that had holes in the knees. She was planning on tossing them in the garbage, so I asked if I could have them. They where so cute I had a hard time giving them up, lol! I got lots of compliments on them from people who have seen them up close. Now I'll be watching garage sales next summer for jeans with holes in the knees or stained knees so I can convert them into girls purses!

Great job, and good to recycle - try going to the resale shops for Hospice and Goodwill - they have these many times.

I couldn't find the sizes I was looking for at the thift shops, which was very surprising. I thought for sure I'd find a few.
