I found the price of felt quite high but spotted some white fleece, it is fine and only fleecy on one side so it was perfect for candy cane holders and napkin rings (see later). My gingerbread people became snow people!!!!!

These are adorable. I find it odd that people are saying that felt is high priced. I buy a 9 inch by 12 inch piece of felt for 29 cents and can make 2 cane holders out of one sheet. I have not priced felt off the bolt, maybe it is thicker but the sheets work quite nice for me.

My 9"x12" sheet was 75pence how that compares I am not sure but only managed 1 tree until I squeezed a small napkin holder tree out of the bits.
