I found that as the years went by ny sister and I were drifting (although they phoned me every birthday, Christmas New Year etc, and I had visited many times). Since my sil linked us up we talk every Sunday night that you feel you're in their loop of life whereas before you didn't know much of their day to day. It really is amazing

I love Skype. This is how I keep up with my brother who is 1700 miles away. When my husband deploys we use Skype to stay in contact. I wish more people would use it. It is so nice to hear loved ones on the phone but really priceless to see them as I am talking to them.
