Newbie here. My first projects has been putting our last name on "stuff bags" that hubby and son use for scout camping. Wanting Hubby to realize how cool this machine is!

That's a good way to let him know just how useful your new hobby is and maybe he won't mind when you buy the things you must have to go with it. There are a lots of useful information on here to help you get good deals for thread, designs,stabilizer and must haves for your new hobby or should I say addiction. If you really want to get him hooked have him sit down and watch it stitching out a design, won't be long and he'll want to start changing threads for you. Worked on my dh only thing he won't even attempt to do is to hoop anything.too much trouble and afraid he won't get it centered. Actually I'm glad he is a little interested as he can and does help me when I've others things going on.
