I needed a purse to finish out the winter...and one to go with the many winter jackets & coats that I wear. I think this one will work!

This was made from pieces of wool fabric that I found one day, while shopping our local GOODWILL store. We used to have a factor in town .... Glen of Michigan... that sewed for big names, like "White Stag" and "Pendelton". These pieces of fabric still had the tags on them from Glen of Michigan! What a find!

I started this one with a 5" square pattern piece that I cut from a scrap of stabilizer...and the rest just happened after I sat at my machine for a couple hours. It is lined with the burgandy twill that you see in the patchwork...and has a thin batting to help keep its structure.

I just LOVE how this one turned out! Had planned on some embroidered snowflakes on it, but decided to leave them off as I didn't think it needed anything more!

This is absolutely beautiful! Perfect and I agree with you, it doesn't need any embroidery. And what a great find at the Goodwill! *'s for all.

thanks! I do most of my purses with the large outside pocket...a lady needs lots of room to store things, you know!

thanks, Shirlene! I just wish I had more time to sew and embroider...and digitize...and...and...lol! We are still helping out my parents with some of their jobs after my Dad's heart surgery...so time is so limited yet!

Made from wool, it should last you a lifetime! It is a great design and would most likely go with most any winter wear! I would like to have one made like this. I can not wear wool next to me but it sure would make a lovely accessory!
